Berkshire Grey Achieves SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance: A Milestone in Security and Trust
We are proud to share that Berkshire Grey has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, affirming our commitment to the highest standards of data security, solution design, and operational excellence. This certification, validated through a rigorous audit process, underscores our unwavering dedication to our customers’ success, protecting their data, and ensuring the reliability of our robotic automation solutions.
As part of this process, Berkshire Grey partnered with Thoropass, a leading compliance automation platform that helps businesses streamline and simplify the process of achieving and maintaining various compliance certifications. Thoropass commends our achievement:
“Congratulations to Berkshire Grey for completing their SOC 2 Type 2 audit. By taking this important step in their cybersecurity and compliance journey, Berkshire Grey demonstrates their commitment to protecting customer data and maintaining the highest standards of security.”
What is SOC 2 Type Two and What it Means for Our Customers
SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is a critical benchmark for companies handling customer data. Unlike SOC 2 Type 1, which evaluates the design of security processes at a point in time, SOC 2 Type 2 assesses the operational effectiveness of these controls over an extended period of time. This continuous evaluation provides deeper insights into our security posture, ensuring and confirming that our systems are consistently reliable and secure.
Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 compliance involved a comprehensive review of our systems and processes by an independent auditor. This included assessing our data handling practices, security policies, and overall operational controls. By meeting these stringent requirements, we demonstrate our ability to manage and protect customer data effectively, which is vital in today’s data-driven warehouses.
Eva Pittas, Co-Founder of Thoropass, shares her congratulations:
“I take a lot of pride in congratulating Berkshire Grey on completing their SOC 2 Type 2 audit. Berkshire Grey is the archetype of an innovative company who puts their customers’ trust first by committing to the highest levels of security in everything they do and build.”
This certification reflects Berkshire Grey’s dedication to maintaining high standards of data integrity and confidentiality. It underscores our commitment to operational excellence and security, ensuring that customers can have complete confidence in Berkshire Grey’s ability to manage and safeguard their data and solutions effectively.
Kyle Maroney, VP of Software Engineering, highlights the team’s efforts:
“Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is a testament to our team’s relentless effort and commitment to excellence. This milestone confirms our customer-first approach and assures our customers that our transformative robotic solutions are backed by the highest standards of security and operational integrity.”
Ongoing Commitment to Data Security and Operational Excellence
As we move forward, Berkshire Grey will continue to perform annual SOC 2 Type 2 assessments. This ongoing commitment ensures that we stay ahead of potential security threats and maintain our high standards in support of our customers. Current and potential customers can request our latest SOC 2 Type 2 report, as well as learn more about our security posture transparently, via our Trust Center.
